Ruhnu mineral water

Ruhnu mineral water comes from a Cambrian period aqueous layer  with a high mineral content that sits right on top of basement rocks and its bulk depth on the island is up to 706.8 m and the total thickness 77.4 m. According to throughput measurements of the borehole (Ruhnu borehole), the Ruhnu aqueous layer is one of the richest in water in Estonia. The mineral water here has the highest content of salts (17.1–17.7 g/l) in all the mineral water that has been discovered in the sedimentary rocks in Estonia. The most important microelement in Ruhnu mineral water that has an active effect on the human body is bromine (48–54 mg/l), the content of which is much higher here than in other known mineral waters in Estonia. Water with this kind a of content is suitable for treating various illnesses when used as bathing water (for illnesses of joints, peripheral nervous system, upper airways, also for gynecological ailments, etc). Ruhnu mineral water has not been used up to date.
