Victorious Latvian team withe the Ruhnu trophy

Estonian-Latvian international match for Ruhnu trophy, a traditional football match between two countries where for prize is a half metre iron Ruhnu lighthouse aka Ruhnu trophy hammered by Saare Blacksmiths. The match takes place in Pärnu Kalev stadium in the context of Watergate festival. The first international match took place on the 22nd of June, 2013. The competition was between Estonian and Latvian All Stars teams, which consisted of former top football players and musicians. On the Estonian side, among others, the participants included Indrek Zelinski, Andrei Stepanov, Erko Saviauk, Toomas Tohver, Tarmo Rüütli, Indrek Raadik, Tarmo Kruusimäe. Latvia won the match 3:0.

On the 20th of June, 2014, the football fractions of the Estonian Parliament and the Latvian Saeima met in the match. On the Estonian side the participants included Vice-President of the Riigikogu Jüri Ratase, Deniss Boroditš, Siim Kabrits, Lauri Laasi, Aaro Mõttus, Eiki Nestor, Erki Nool, Rainer Vakra and Rannar Vassiljev.
